We, Rob and Marga, moved to the Algarve in August 2007. In Amsterdam we had a good running bed and breakfast on our houseboat. And in the Algarve we receive guests as well. Hospitality is our specialty.

Quinta Corcunda is an authentic Portugeuse quinta (farmhouse) which has been beautifully restored to provide impressive self-contained holiday accommodation.
With its wood beam ceilings, tiled floors and romantic furnishing, the quinta nestles in a picturesque valley surrounded by hills of olive, orange and carob trees. The terrace at the back of the house affords breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and provides glimpses of the traditional rural Portuguese life as the farmers wend their way down the lane to draw water from the nearby well where the women still do their washing. The valley and hills provide magnificent walking terrain for exploring the untouched hinterland.

The quinta makes a perfect setting for a tranquil holiday well away from the hurlyburly of the modern Algarve. Despite this, its location in the unspoilt eastern Algarve is ideal for getting around. Faro airport is only 15 miles away, and the villages of St Catarina and Moncarapacho with their local shops are no more than 10 minutes drive. The small fishing port of Fuzeta with its bustling squares and glorious sandy beaches off the Ila is only 5 miles away, while the larger towns of Olhao and Tavira can be reached in 15-20 minutes by car.

It is important to rent a car, because public transport is not very well organised and is not driving punctual.
